Forward Deployed Engineer

You ship AI systems directly on customer infrastructure. Not proof-of-concepts — production. You embed with clients, scope their actual problem, build and deploy a working solution, then hand it off and move on. You use the best AI tools available, because that's the whole point.

What you'll do

  • —Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to build, debug, and ship AI agents, RAG pipelines, and system integrations at high speed
  • —Embed with clients to understand their workflows, scope requirements, and deliver production-ready AI solutions — not slides, not wireframes, running code
  • —Build integration layers (MCP servers, API bridges) connecting LLMs to legacy systems, CRMs, and internal databases
  • —Build evaluation frameworks, regression suites, and observability layers to catch hallucinations and data leaks before they hit production
  • —Navigate enterprise reality: SSO, legacy systems, SOC 2 compliance, on-premise requirements — and feed hard-won product feedback back to our engineering team

You are

  • ✓Proficient in Python and at least one of JavaScript, Go, or Java. Strong SQL fundamentals.
  • ✓Hands-on with modern LLM APIs and agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar)
  • ✓A demonstrated power-user of AI coding tools — you ship faster with them than most people ship without
  • ✓Comfortable with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and Docker
  • ✓An exceptional communicator who can translate ambiguous business goals into working technical tasks
  • ✓0–3 years of professional experience, or equivalent demonstrated output

Nice to have

  • +You've shipped something real using AI tools as the primary implementation lever
  • +You've contributed to open-source AI tooling or written publicly about AI development
  • +Experience with Supabase, Fly.io, or Vercel for full-stack deployment

We want to see something you built. Doesn't have to be polished. It has to work and you have to be able to explain why you built it the way you did.

AI-native, not AI-curious

There's a difference between having heard of Claude and using Claude Code every day to ship production features. We want people in the second group.

Owns outcomes

We don't have a handoff culture. If you scoped it and built it, you also own making sure it works — not just on your laptop.
